Due to a motor vehicle accident this morning, Shelby County 11 is closed to through traffic at the intersection of Shelby County 377, also known as Mountain Crest Road, according to a release from the Shelby County Sheriff’s Department.

All traffic is being re-routed at the intersections of Shelby County 11 at Old Highway 280 and Shelby County 11 at Shelby County 36, the release stated.

The roadway will be closed for some time, and this release will be updated as soon as it re-opens, according to the release. All motorists in the area are encouraged to drive cautiously and follow the directions of the deputies on-scene.
