The Evangel Christian School girls’ basketball team remained unbeaten following a 43-21 win over East Central of Moody in the Alabama Christian Sports Conference tournament semifinals Feb. 11 at Samford University.

Evangel Christian, which improved to 18-0 on the season with the victory, will defend its ACSC crown from the 2009-2010 season against Evangel Family Christian Academy of Montgomery in the championship game Feb. 12 at Samford.

Senior Abby Letson had a triple-double with 18 points, 12 rebounds and 10 steals to lead the Lightning.

Fellow senior Katherine Stockman added 13 points. Junior Rainey Ketcham contributed 12 points. The three all-conference performers scored all of the Lightning’s points.
