Bibb County defeated Shelby County 33-0 in the team’s jamborees. Both teams only played their varsity squads while allowing the junior varsity to play in the second half. Bibb County led 13-0 at the half.
Shelby County coach Brent Smith said his team needed to cut down on the mistakes.
“We moved the ball real well just turned the ball over,” Smith said. “We need to cut down on the penalties and play better on defense.”
Shelby County only kept first half stats. Shelby County quarterback Ty Proctor was 7-of-15 passing for 100 yards and an interception in only a half of playing. Proctor led the team in rushing with 30 yards on 7 attempts. Brandon Shields added 22 yards on 2 attempts.
