CHELSEA – The railroad crossing on Shelby County 47 in front of Chelsea city hall will be closed for repairs Aug. 27 beginning at 9 a.m.

The repairs are expected to be completed on the same day if the weather permits. The roadway should be re-opened for normal traffic before local schools release students that afternoon, according to a release from the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office.

Local residents are encouraged to detour using Liberty Road and Shelby County 433. Detour signs will be placed at the appropriate intersections.
