The Hope Christian School boys’ basketball team defeated East Central 56-40 in high school basketball action Feb. 4.

Terrance Moore led the Eagles (11-9) with 18 points. Moore also grabbed six rebounds and finished with a team-high seven steals.

Blake Thomas added 17 points, six rebounds, three assists and three steals. Caleb Douglas, Pete Thomason and Brandon Fuller chipped in five points each. Douglas, who dished out four assists, and Thomason grabbed a team-high 11 rebounds each. Fuller finished with a team-high five assists.

Seth Burnham contributed four points and 10 rebounds. Cameron Costa chipped in two points.

GIRLS

The Hope Christian School girls’ basketball team fell to East Central 35-24 in high school basketball action Feb. 4.

Davina Drew led the Eagles (11-8) with 10 points. Drew also finished with four steals and three rebounds.

Karlee Tate added four points. Erin Douglas finished with three points, three rebounds and two steals.

Leigh Wilson-Legg, Rachel Rettig and Christina Jones contributed two points each. Wilson Legg had four steals and two rebounds, Rettig grabbed three rebounds and Jones finished with two steals.

Hannah Rettig, who scored one point, grabbed a team-high eight rebounds and dished out a team-high two assists.
