The Oak Mountain High School boys’ basketball team defeated Gardendale 59-43 in high school basketball action Feb. 1.

Garrett Cosgrove led the Eagles (14-10) with 20 points. Cosgrove also grabbed a team-high 11 rebounds to finish with a double-double.

GIRLS

The Oak Mountain High School girls’ basketball team fell to Gardendale 34-27 in high school basketball action Feb. 1.

The Eagles held Gardendale to six points in the fourth quarter, but could only muster three points on the offensive end of the floor and couldn’t overcome a four-point deficit entering the fourth quarter.

Hannah Griffin led Oak Mountain (17-8) with nine points, four rebounds four assists and two steals.

M.K. Shealy added nine points. Bailey Upchurch, who scored two points, led the Eagles with five rebounds.
