CHELSEA – A memorial service for Chelsea residents Tristan Barger and Keith Brown will be held Sunday, Aug. 12 at Chelsea Community Church.

Brown passed away after being struck by lightning Aug. 6 on Shell Island near Panama City Beach, Fla. Barger, Brown’s stepson, passed away Aug. 8 after being taken to a hospital in critical condition.

According to church staff, a viewing for the family will be from 2:30-4 p.m. Aug. 12, and the viewing will open to friends from 4-7 p.m. A funeral service will begin at 7 p.m.

A graveside service and burial will be held Monday, Aug. 13 at 11 a.m. at K Springs Cemetery.

Chelsea Community Church is located at 4176 Shelby County 39, Chelsea.
