The Calera High School boys’ basketball team fell to Midfield 91-89 in a Class 4A, Area 8 contest Jan. 29.

Ronnie Clark led the Eagles (17-7 overall, 4-2 in Class 4A, Area 8 ) with a game-high 28 points.

Deondre Haynes added 27 points. Titus Adams chipped in 15 points in the defeat.

GIRLS

The Calera High School girls’ basketball team fell to Midfield 68-21 in a Class 4A, Area 8 contest Jan. 29.

A’Kia Harris led the Eagles (3-15 overall, 1-5 in Class 4A, Area 8 ) with eight points.

Kayla Brown chipped in three points in the defeat.
