The Coosa Valley Academy boys’ basketball team defeated Chambers Academy 70-50 in the Alabama Independent Schools Association Class 1A, Region 2 — Area 1 tournament semifinals Jan. 28.

John Bullen led the Rebels (9-11) with 14 points. Bullen grabbed a team-high 10 rebounds to finish with a double-double.

Hunter Winslett finished with 12 points in the victory.

Coosa Valley advanced to the AISA Class 1A, Region 2 — Area 1 championship game Jan. 29 with the victory.
