The Calera High School girls’ basketball team edged Bibb County 39-37 in high school basketball action Jan. 25.

Calera overcame a double-digit deficit in the second half and outscored Bibb County 15-3 in the fourth quarter to clinch the victory.

Kayla Brown led the Eagles (3-14) with 15 points.

A’Kia Harris and Jocelyn Davis added eight points each.

BOYS

The Calera High School boys’ basketball team defeated Bibb County 91-67 in high school basketball action Jan. 25.

Deondre Haynes led the Eagles (17-6) with a game-high 29 points.

Ronnie Clark added 14 points. Blayne Sumrall contributed 12 points in the victory.
