Vincent defeats Talladega County Central

The Vincent High School boys’ basketball team defeated Talladega County Central 59-44 in high school basketball action Jan. 24.
Vincent opened up a 24-point in the second half following a 12-0 run to start the third quarter.
Bruce Hamilton led the Yellow Jackets (19-6) with 21 points. Hamilton, who also grabbed 13 rebounds to finish with a double-double, dished out three assists and recorded two steals.
Keyon Wallace, who also recorded a double-double, finished with 13 points, 13 rebounds, three assists and one blocked shot. Anterio Rogers chipped in eight points, six assists, four steals, two rebounds and one blocked shot.
GIRLS
The Vincent High School girls’ basketball team fell to Talladega County Central 45-40 in overtime in high school basketball action Jan. 24.
Kiara Cohill led the Yellow Jackets (9-15) with 13 points.
Brooklyn Jones chipped in nine points. Jessica Posey finished with eight points.
Pamala Mann contributed five points and a team-high 10 rebounds in the defeat.
