NORTH SHELBY – A portion of Cahaba Valley Road is closed due to roadway flooding.

Cahaba Valley Rd in the area of Briarwood High School was closed at 9 a.m. today. This portion of Cahaba Valley Rd will remained closed until further notice, according to a release from the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office.

Motorists are encouraged to reduce their speed and drive carefully. Motorists are also reminded to never attempt to pass through roadways that are covered by water, the release stated.
