CALERA – The Calera Chamber of Commerce will host a political forum for all candidates running for election in the upcoming municipal election.

The forum will take place Aug. 14 at 7 p.m. at Calera High School.

Chamber President Bill Davis will serve as the forum moderator, and Chamber board members will be the timekeepers.

“Each candidate will be given 2-3 minutes to introduce himself/herself to the audience,” the press release stated. “Questions for candidates will be selected on a random basis, during the forum, from a selection of questions, provided by Calera residents before the forum.”

The release stated the Chamber does not support any particular candidate or political party. Participating candidates should contact the Calera Chamber office no later than Aug. 6. Contact the office by emailing info@calerachamber.org.
