Although the proprietors of Coffee-ol-ogy Global Cuisine and Bakery take pride in the coffee they serve, their café is so much more than caffeinated drinks and bakery treats.
Teresa White and Craig Casiday, the mother-and-son team behind Coffee-ol-ogy, wanted their restaurant to give customers an experience, rather than just a place to grab a quick bite. Coffee-ol-ogy is located in the Hoover Public Library Plaza.
“The global cuisine concept is very much an experience,” said Casiday, who also serves as head chef. “It’s designed to give you a taste of culture and food.”
Coffee-ol-ogy offers customers a different specialty menu every month; each specialty menu corresponds to a certain world culture, such as Greek, Swedish or Creole. The café also has a daily menu for diners who might want food that’s a bit more familiar to their palates.
