Two more qualify for Hoover elections

HOOVER — Two more candidates have qualified for the Hoover municipal elections.
Kenneth L. Teter will challenge incumbent Brian Skelton for the Place 6 seat on the Hoover City Council.
Teter, who has lived in Hoover for 10 years, has served on the Lake Trace Homeowners Association Board for seven years and as association president for four years.
Place 7 will see three candidates, with incumbent John Greene and challenger Jason Cerniglia joined by Ken King, who has lived in Hoover for three years. King, who is working with the Democratic National Committee and the Barack Obama re-election campaign, is a member of the Hoover Chamber of Commerce and Civitan International.
July 17 at 5 p.m. was the deadline to qualify for the municipal elections.
