High school algebra teachers from across the Shelby County School District were trained Nov. 17-18 on new classroom technology. The 42 teachers are all receiving new Mobi interactive pads, which will allow them to move about the room while demonstrating math concepts on a virtual whiteboard. The teachers attended the training sessions at the Shelby County Instructional Services Center to learn how to incorporate the new technology into their classrooms.
The total cost of the project, which ensures that every high school algebra classroom has a ceiling-mounted digital projector and a Mobi pad, was $44,500. The funds came from local money.
