Lyda to seek Place 3 on Hoover Council

HOOVER — Hoover City Council candidate John Lyda recently announced his decision to seek Place 3 on the council.
Mari Morrison currently occupies the Place 3 seat on the council.
Lyda said he feels the Place 3 seat is his best chance to make a strong impact on the city of Hoover.
“After evaluating the seven council seats and after consulting my friends and supporters, it is clear that Place 3 is the seat that I can make the greatest positive impact,” he said. “I’ve worked tirelessly over the past couple of years to develop good working relationships with the mayor, each of the council members and the appointed boards within the city and I look forward to serving the citizens and being a part of the great things that are happening in the city of Hoover.”
Lyda, a 16-year Hoover resident, is a member of the Hoover Library Board of Trustees. He is is operations manager of claims administration for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama.
The Hoover municipal election will be held Aug. 28.
