Montevallo First Baptist Church plans to present “The Ornament” a Christmas musical drama Sunday, Dec. 6 at 6:30 p.m. The drama team, sanctuary choir, children’s choir and orchestra will lead the worship program. The drama unfolds with Henry Keagan, played by Charles Scarborough, dealing with the passing of his wife. Adjusting to the loss of the matriarch of this close-knit family, the three grown children and grandchildren gather at Christmas to support their dad and granddad. There is a great deal of laughter, a trip to a soup kitchen, carolers at the front door and thought–provoking spiritual insight. The Christmas season at the Keagan home is filled with hope because the presence of God gives grace in the midst of loss. The church invites the public to share in the celebration and stay for a time of fellowship after the program.
