The Spain Park High School boys’ basketball team opened its season Nov. 15 with a 52-42 win over visiting Bessemer City.

Mitchell Holt led the Jaguars (1-0) with 15 points. Holt added 10 rebounds.

Bryan Stone chipped in 12 points.

Westminster picks up road victory

Westminster School at Oak Mountain jumped out to an early lead before running away from Victory Christian School in a 63-47 win on the road in boys’ basketball action Nov. 15.

The Knights outscored Victory Christian 24-9 in the third quarter.

Jeffrey Stanford led Westminster (3-1) with 27 points. Adam Gurley added 17 points.

Indian Springs defeats Jefferson Christian

The Indian Springs boys’ basketball team held off a fourth-quarter rally to pick up a 76-65 win on the road Nov. 15 at Jefferson Christian Academy.

Charlie Simpson led Indian Springs (3-1) with 22 points and three assists.

Hart Wilson added 19 points. Jeff Liu finished with 15 points.

Indian Springs falls at Jefferson Christian

The Indian Springs girls’ basketball team fell 31-22 on the road Nov. 15 at Jefferson Christian Academy.

Andrea Mayo led Indian Springs (2-2) with 14 points in the loss.
