VINCENT — The town of Vincent has received a $400,000 grant to pave a local road known for its rough conditions.
The grant, which will be used to pave Autumn Drive, is from the Alabama Department of Community Affairs, according to Mayor Ray McAllister.
“This has been a situation that has been ongoing for many years, and we are very pleased that this road can now be paved, enhancing the quality of life for our citizens,” McAllister said in a press release.
He said he expects paving to begin in Spring 2011.
