Jaguars finish fourth in section track and field meet

The Spain Park High School boys’ track and field team finished fourth in team standings at an Alabama High School Athletic Association Class 6A section meet April 28 at Mountain Brook High School.
Joseph Williams and Brandon Hazouri led the Jaguars after capturing two individual titles each in the section meet.
Williams won the boys’ discus event with his toss of 185 feet, 8 inches. Williams also captured the shot put title with his toss of 58 feet, 2.5 inches.
Brandon Hazouri claimed the boys’ 1,600-meter run with his time of 4:18.92. Hazouri won the boys’ 3,200-meter run with his time of 9:37.84.
Steven Crain finished second in the 3,200-meter run with his time of 9:39.94. Crain also finished third in the 1,600-meter run with his time of 4:22.31.
Alex Baker finished fourth in the boys’ javelin event with his toss of 157 feet, 10 inches.
Myles Charley came in fourth in the boys’ triple jump with his toss of 44 feet, 3.5 inches.
Thompson came in sixth in the team standings in the Class 6A section meet.
Jaalen Jones won the boys’ 200-meter dash title with his time of 21.72 seconds.
Sebastian Bivins finished fourth in the 100-meter dash with his time of 11.24 seconds. Brandon Farrish came in fourth in the 110-meter hurdles with his time of 15.61 seconds.
The Warriors’ 400-meter relay team finished second in the event with a time of 42.13 seconds.
Oak Mountain finished seventh in the Class 6A section meet.
Jakaryus Redwine led the Eagles as he finished second in three separate individual events.
Redwine came in second in the boys’ 100-meter dash with his time of 10.99 seconds. Redwine finished second in the boys’ 200-meter dash with his time of 22.00 seconds. Redwine also finished second in the boys’ 400-meter dash with his time of 48.21 seconds.
Oak Mountain’s entry in the boys’ 1,600-meter relay event finished fourth with a time of 3:24.58.
Pelham came in 13th in the Class 6A section meet.
Myles Cherry led the Panthers as he finished 11th in the boys’ 400-meter dash with his time of 51.60 seconds. Pelham’s entry in the boys’ 1,600-meter relay event finished sixth with a time of 3:26.93.
