The Spain Park High School boys’ soccer team defeated Pelham 2-0 in the opening round of the Alabama High School Athletic Association Class 6A playoffs April 27.

Jacob Taggart gave the Jaguars a 1-0 lead in the first half following his goal, which was assisted by Raul Olvera.

Tyler Cook added a second-half goal for Spain Park.

Spain Park goalkeeper Spencer Jack finished with five saves in the shutout.
