The Coosa Valley Academy baseball team defeated Sumter Academy 8-4 in high school baseball action April 18.

Tyler Hickman led the Rebels (24-10) at the plate as he finished 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles. Hickman drove in three runs and scored one run in the victory.

Allen Logan finished 3-for-4 at the plate with a double and a stolen base. Logan drove in two runs and scored two runs in the victory.

Michael Mims finished 2-for-4 at the plate with a double and scored two runs in the win.

Jake Carter earned the win on the mound after giving up four runs, including two earned runs, on three hits with 15 strikeouts in a complete-game victory.
