Calera Elementary Physical Education teachers Scott Scharding and Shawn Ryan lead each student in their school through a 30-minute bus safety presentation during their P.E. classes. Students are taught ways to keep themselves, as well as others, safe while riding on the school bus. This year at Calera Elementary bus safety drills were enhanced with a visit from Buster the Bus. Buster the Bus, a talking, remote-controlled school bus, is the star of a bus safety presentation brought to the school by Crossgate Services’ president Bryan Nash.
