Exchange student shares thanks

Dear Editor,

My name is Katrine Ryttergaard and I’m a World Heritage exchange student here in Helena.

I come from Denmark, which is a small but great country! I wanted to use this opportunity to thank everybody who has been a part of my exchange year.

I would like to give a special thanks to my lovely host family, the Bowlings. You guys have definitely changed my life for the better!

I would like to say thanks to Pelham High School, who agreed to take me in as a student.

Being in school over here doesn’t just make you learn the subjects.

I’ve also learned how American society works and how people communicate with each other. And of course the school has given me all my friends, who I love so much.

Being an exchange student is an honor. You get to represent your country, while you’re having the time of your life!

The past year has gone by faster than any other, but I’ve experienced so much, and I’ve grown to be a different and better person.

I can honestly say that this year has changed my life forever, and I’m going to miss every single one of those people I’ve met during my stay here.

If there’s anyone out there who would like to change a young boy or girl’s life by becoming a host family, then you can contact Brandy Dahlen at 422-1748 or visit Whosts.com for more details.

Again, I would like to thank the Bowling family for bringing me in, and making me a part of their family. It means a lot to me!
