The Oak Mountain High School baseball team defeated Thompson 14-4 in an Alabama High School Athletic Association Class 6A, Area 10 contest April 12.

David Dahl led the Eagles offensively as he finished 2-for-3 at the plate with a homer and a triple. Dahl drove in four runs and scored three runs in the victory.

Richard Greene finished 3-for-4 at the plate with a homer and a double. Green drove in three runs and scored one run in the win.

Heath Quinn went 3-for-5 at the plate with a homer. Quinn drove in three runs and scored three runs in the victory.

Barrett Gossett, who drove in two runs and scored two runs, finished 3-for-4 at the plate.

Nick Bietighofer earned the win on the mound after giving up four runs, including three earned runs, on nine hits with eight strikeouts and three walks in a complete-game victory.

Tyler Gamble led Thompson offensively as he finished 1-for-4 at the plate with a homer. Gamble drove in one run and scored two runs.

Trey Matherson finished 3-for-4 at the plate with a pair of doubles.

Austin Sapp took the loss after giving up five earned runs on eight hits with one strikeout and two walks in three innings.
