The University of Montevallo women’s tennis team dropped its 10th consecutive Peach Belt Conference match of the season April 10 following a 9-0 loss to Augusta State University.

The Falcons were without three players in the match and had to forfeit the No. 3 doubles’ match, the No. 5 singles’ match and the No. 6 singles’ match.

Senior Helene Nordgreen and junior Amy McGucken teamed up in the No. 1 doubles’ match and won the most individual games as they lost 8-5.

Montevallo lost the No. 2 doubles’ match 8-0 and every singles’ match final was either 6-0, 6-1 or 6-1, 6-0 with each Falcon picking up one win.

The Falcons will return to action this Friday, April 13 at 2 p.m. as they host Georgia Southwestern State University in Peach Belt Conference action.
