James William Patmon, age 86, of Maylene passed away on April 7, 2012 at his residence. He was born in Jefferson County on Feb. 23, 1926 to the late James Louis Patman and the late Tmpie Elizabeth Isbell Patmon.
Mr. Patmon was retired from U.S. Steel. He honorably served his country in the United States Navy during World War II.
He is survived by three sons, Mike, Mark and Tim Patmon of Maylene; grandson, Matt Patmon of Maylene; sister, Margaret Click of Irondale; special niece, Joyce Land of Jemison; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives who loved him dearly.
He is preceded in death by wife, Pearl Gibson Patmon; son, James Timothy Patmon; father, James Louis Patmon; mother, Tempie Elizabeth Patmon; brother, Alton Patmon; and brother, Dennis Patmon.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. at Ellison-Cleckler Funeral Home, located at 1709 Lay Dam Road in Clanton.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at 11 a.m. from the Memorial Chapel of Ellison-Cleckler Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Jones officiating.
