The Vincent High School football team dropped its second consecutive Class 2A, Region 4 contest following a 44-0 loss to visiting American Christian Academy of Tuscaloosa.

The Yellow Jackets (5-4 overall, 5-2 in Class 2A, Region 4) managed only 175 total yards in the loss, including 172 rushing yards.

Chris Brown led Vincent with seven carries for 86 yards.

Demauntey Johnson added 39 rushing yards on seven carries. Johnson also completed 1-of-7 passes for negative three yards.

Rodney Groce rushed for 24 yards on six carries.

Johnson led the Vincent defense with eight tackles and a sack.

Shacorry Lilly added six tackles. Ryan Kelow and Brown recorded four tackles each. Kelow also recovered a fumble.

Vincent closes out the regular season Oct. 28 on the road at Winterboro. The Yellow Jackets will travel to Houston Academy in the first round of the Alabama High School Athletic Association Class 2A playoffs Nov. 5.
