The Spain Park High School baseball team completed a sweep of Mountain Brook in Alabama High School Athletic Association Class 6A, Area 12 action April 5 following a 5-0 win over the Spartans.

Grant Veteto led the Jaguars (21-12 overall, 4-0 in Class 6A, Area 12) at the plate as he finished 2-for-4 with a homer, his fifth of the season. Veteto drove in one run and scored one run in the victory.

Mikey White, who drove in one run and scored one run, finished 2-for-3 at the plate with a triple.

Josh Close went 1-for-4 at the plate. Paul Angel finished 1-for-4 at the plate and drove in one run. Colton Freeman went 1-for-4 at the plate and scored one run. Will McDonald finished 1-for-4 at the plate.

Josh Rich went 1-for-2 at the plate. Peyton Walsh scored two runs in the victory.

White earned the win on the mound after giving up just three hits with 11 strikeouts and two walks in 5 1/3 innings.

Freeman finished with four strikeouts and two walks without giving up a hit in 1 2/3 scoreless innings in relief.
