The Spain Park High School softball team defeated rival Hoover 10-2 in high school softball action April 2.

Madi Gipson led the Jaguars offensively as she finished 2-for-3 at the plate with a double. Gipson drove in two runs and scored three runs in the victory.

April Scott went 2-for-3 at the plate and scored two runs. Caroline Holmes, who drove in two runs and scored one run, finished 1-for-2 at the plate with a double. Casey Craig went 1-for-1 at the plate and scored three runs.

Haleigh Sisson earned the win in the circle after giving up two earned runs on eight hits with six strikeouts and two walks in a complete-game victory.
