Falcons compete at Bearcat Invitational

The University of Montevallo men’s golf team finished 13th at the Lander University Bearcat Invitational tournament March 27 in Greenwood, S.C.
The Falcons were led by junior Austin Murphey, who shot a three-round score of 222, which is just six-over par. Murphey tied for 22nd overall in the event.
The Falcons finished ahead of Peach Belt Conference opponents Clayton State University, North Georgia College and State University and Lander University.
USC Aiken won the event followed by Georgia College and State University and Columbus State University.
Junior Andrew Lowry and freshman Andres Morales each shot a three-round score of 229 and tied for 42nd overall.
Freshman Juan Noce finished tied for 66th overall with a score of 234, while senior Aaron Ebert came in tied for 74th with a score of 237.
Murphey shot the lowest round of the tournament for the Falcons in the second round with a two-under par 70.
The Falcons will return to action April 2-3 at the Argonaut Invitational in Pensacola, Fla.
