The Cornerstone Christian School softball team defeated rival Coosa Valley 12-1 in an Alabama Independent Schools Association Class 1A, Area 1 contest March 27.

Brooke Calma led the Chargers as she finished 3-for-5 at the plate and drove in three runs.

Ashley Carden went 2-for-2 at the plate and drove in a pair of runs.

Jana Armstrong earned the win in the circle after giving up one unearned run on six hits with eight strikeouts and one walk in a complete-game victory.

Hannah Vick led Coosa Valley as she finished 2-for-3 at the plate.

Vick also took the loss in the circle after giving up 12 earned runs on 16 hits with two strikeouts and five walks in a complete game.
