The Pelham High School softball team defeated Gardendale and Mortimer Jordan in a high school softball doubleheader March 24.

The Panthers defeated Gardendale 4-0.

Caitlyn Sapp led Pelham as she finished 3-for-4 at the plate with a homer and a double. Sapp drove in one run and scored two runs in the victory.

Mary Morgan Dramer finished 2-for-4 and drove in one run. Kristen Foster went 1-for-4 at the plate. Whitney Gillespie, who drove in one run and scored one run, finished 1-for-1 with a double.

Madi Walker went 1-for-4 at the plate with a double and drove in one run. Lindsey Pyle finished 1-for-3 at the plate with a double and scored one run. Emily Spain and Becky Fox each finished 1-for-3 at the plate.

Fox earned the win in the circle after giving up seven hits with two strikeouts in a complete-game victory.

Pelham defeated Mortimer Jordan 10-0.

Walker led the Panthers at the plate as she went 2-for-2 with a double. Walker drove in two runs and scored one run in the victory.

Foster finished 2-for-3 and scored one run. Pyle, who drove in one run and scored one run, finished 2-for-2 with a double.

Dramer finished 1-for-3 and scored one run. Gillespie finished 1-for-2 and scored one run. Fox, who drove in one run and scored two runs, went 1-for-2 at the plate.

Spain, who drove in one run and scored one run, finished 1-for-2 at the plate. Jennifer Davis finished 1-for-2 at the plate.

Gillespie earned the win in the circle after giving up just two hits with seven strikeouts and two walks in a five-inning complete game.
