The Pelham High School softball team dropped its first game of the season March 14 following a 6-0 loss to Hoover.

Mary Morgan Dramer, Kristian Foster, Erin Whitman, Madi Walker and Lindsey Pyle recorded one hit each.

Caitlyn Sapp and Foster finished with one stolen base each.

Whitney Gillespie took the loss after giving up six runs, including four earned runs, on six hits with seven strikeouts and five walks in a complete game.
