MT LAUREL — Ghosts, ghouls, superheroes and princesses will take to the streets of Mt Laurel Oct. 9 at the city’s ninth annual Harvest Festival. The festival will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with free admission.  Mary Peters, event organizer, said the event will be a family affair with activities for adults, children and pets. Children are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes.

Activities will include a farmer’s market, craft fair, inflatable play area, face painting and hay rides. Cinderella and the Alabama Ghost Busters will make a special appearance for children from 11 a.m.- 2 p.m. in front of the Mt Laurel Fire Station.

Mt Laurel residents and business owners will display their annual Scarecrow Trail at the entrance on Mt Laurel and in front of local stores featuring unique scarecrow creations.

Peters said the festival is open to the whole community and is a good opportunity for people to see Mt Laurel for the first time.

“This is a great opportunity for people to invite others out to Mt Laurel,” she said. “It’s an excuse to come out and see what’s new and things that are that same that people have always loved.”
