The Briarwood Christian School boys’ soccer team defeated John Carroll Catholic 2-1 in high school soccer action March 13 following a penalty-kick shootout.

Hunter Smith, who scored a goal in the second half to tie the match at 1-1, drilled the deciding penalty kick to give the Lions (6-1-3) the victory in the shootout.
