The Thompson High School girls’ tennis team defeated Gulf Shores 7-2 in high school tennis action March 9.

Laura Harwell of Thompson fell to Bailey Smith of Gulf Shores 8-3 in the No. 1 singles’ match. Erin Hutter of Thompson defeated Sarah Beth Loper of Gulf Shores 8-3 in the No. 2 singles’ match.

Victoria Kilingsworth of Thompson defeated Olivia Melton of Gulf Shores 8-1 in the No. 3 singles’ match. Maria Siow of Thompson defeated Oliva Melton of Gulf Shores 9-7 in the No. 4 singles’ match.

Olivia Sorrell of Thompson defeated Brinkley Lewis of Gulf Shores 8-4 in the No. 5 singles’ match. Anna Conn of Thompson fell to Harleigh Wilson of Gulf Shores 8-2 in the No. 6 singles’ match.

Hutter and Siow defeated Smith and Loper 9-8 (7-3) in the No. 1 doubles’ match. Harwell and Killingsworth defeated Melton and Bailey 8-1 in the No. 2 doubles’ match.

Sorrell and Conn defeated Maggie Woodley and Lewis of Gulf Shores 8-2 in the No. 3 doubles’ match.

Tyler Shaw of Thompson dropped his No. 1 singles’ match 8-3. Cameron Faulkner dropped his No. 2 singles’ match 9-7.

Tony Pendleton of Thompson won his No. 3 singles’ match 8-6. Jared Cowsar of Thompson won his No. 4 singles’ match 8-5.

Clay Anthony of Thompson won his No. 5 singles’ match 8-2. James Langnes of Thompson dropped his No. 6 singles’ match 8-5.

Shaw and Faulkner dropped their No. 1 doubles’ match 8-3. Pendleton and Cowsar dropped their No. 2 doubles’ match 8-5.

Anthony and Langnes dropped their No. 3 doubles’ match 8-4.
