Panthers win three games in tournament

The Pelham High School softball team swept a three games against Bibb County, Gardendale and Northridge in high school softball action March 9-10.
The Panthers defeated Northridge 7-0 in a game March 9.
Caitlyn Sapp led the Panthers at the plate as she went 2-for-3 with a triple and a double. Sapp drove in one run and scored one run in the victory.
Madi Walker finished 3-for-3 with a double and drove in a run. Mary Morgan Dramer went 2-for-4 and scored two runs. Lindsey Pyle finished 2-for-3 and drove in a run.
Kristen Foster, who drove in two runs and scored two runs, went 1-for-3 at the plate. Whitney Gillespie, who drove in a run and scored a run, went 1-for-3 at the plate.
Gillespie earned the win in the circle after giving up just one hit with nine strikeouts in a five-inning complete-game victory.
Pelham defeated Bibb County 7-0 in a game March 10.
Dramer led the Panthers at the plate as she went 2-for-3 and scored a pair of runs.
Gillespie finished 2-for-3 and drove in a run. Walker finished 2-for-3 and scored a run.
