The Coosa Valley Academy baseball team defeated Chambers Academy 15-3 in high school baseball action March 5.

Cody Wood led the Rebels (8-2) at the plate with three hits. Wood also drive in three runs in the victory.

Michael Mims added two hits and drove in two runs. Allen Logan and Zac Mayo finished with one hit and drove in two runs each. Preston Parker had one hit and drove in one run.

Hunter Winslett and Myles Varner added one hit each.

Wood earned the win on the mound after giving up just one hit while recording six strikeouts in two innings.

Ryan Brooks allowed three runs, including two earned runs, with two strikeouts in 2/3 of an inning. Christian Jantz struck out three batters in 1 2/3 innings in relief.
