HOOVER — The city of Hoover will celebrate its 13th year as a Tree City USA with an Arbor Day celebration March 3.

Aldridge Botanical Gardens will host the celebration, which will begin at 10 a.m. and will feature free tree seedlings available while supplies last.

The celebration will also feature plant sales, a question and answer session with certified arborists and a formal Arbor Day ceremony featuring Hoover Beautification Board essay contest winners and a ceremonial tree planting.

The formal Arbor Day program will begin at 11 a.m., while the ceremonial tree planting will follow at roughly noon.
