W.R. Grace & Co. awarded a scholarship to Ian Saverse, an honors graduate of Spain Park High School in Hoover. He achieved a GPA of 4.0 or higher for four years and was named a 2009 AP Scholar with Honors. In addition, he was a member of the National Honor Society, French National Honor Society and Mu Alpha Theta (Math National Honor Society).

He will be attending the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa and intends to pursue a major in International Business Management and Economics.

Scholarship recipients are selected based on a combination of factors, including academic performance and participation in school and community activities, work experience and recommendations.
