Indian Springs School alumnus Daniel Alarcn has been named by The New Yorker to its “20 under 40” young fiction writers list, published in its June 14-21 summer fiction issue.
The list, selected by the legendary literary magazine’s fiction staff, highlights 20 up-and-coming writers under age 40. A story by Alarcn will be featured in a New Yorker edition later this summer.
Alarcn, a 1995 Indian Springs graduate, is associate editor of “Etiqueta Negra,” an award-winning magazine published in his native Lima, Peru, and Visiting Scholar at the Center for Latin American Studies at the University of California-Berkeley.
