Bobby Joe Seales welcomed Catherine Legg, chair of the Montevallo Historical Commission (Left), and Mary Lou Williams, president of the Montevallo Chamber of Commerce (Right), to the Aug. 1 meeting of the Shelby County Historical Society. The meeting featured presentations and exhibits by Shelby County cities and towns participating in the 2010 Year of Alabama Small Towns and Downtowns. Montevallo Homecoming 2010 is scheduled for Oct. 14-17 and will include the inauguration of John W. Stewart as president of the University of Montevallo, Montevallo Main Street Players’ presentation of Mark Twains “The Man That Corrupted Hadleyburg” and Music on Main Street featuring headliner Hunter Lawley.
