Parts of Alabama 25 will be closed Feb. 27-28 for improvements to railroad crossings after the Shelby County Commission approved a resolution to use Shelby County 42 as a detour.

Norfolk Southern Railway Company will make improvements to two railroad crossings on Alabama 25 between Columbiana and Calera over the weekend.

The Commission passed the resolution at the Feb. 22 meeting.
