The Calera High School wrestling team dropped a pair of matches against Minor and Corner in high school wrestling Jan. 26.

The Eagles fell to Minor 40-17. Three Calera wrestlers won individual matches against Minor.

Hunter Alexander of Calera earned technical fall decision 17-2 to Jerein Harris of Minor in the 106-pound match. Coby Mize of Calera pinned Royshad Mack of Minor in 3:00 in 160-pound match.

Danny Diaz of Calera pinned Cameron Willis in 5:00 in the heavyweight match.

Calera fell to Corner 27-18. Three Calera wrestlers won individual matches against Corner.

Mize won his 160-pound match by forfeit. Jesse Davis of Calera won his 170-pound match. Braxton Stokes of Calera won his 220-pound match by forfeit.
