The Oak Mountain High School wrestling team dropped a match against Hewitt-Trussville 35-32 in high school wrestling action Jan. 24.

Seven Eagles won individual matches against the Huskies.

John David (J.D.) Peden of Oak Mountain pinned Reece Argo of Hewitt-Trussville in the 106-pound match. Trigg Langner of Oak Mountain earned a 6-5 decision over Dalton Meadows of Hewitt-Trussville in the 113-pound match.

Stephen Chandler of Oak Mountain earned a 12-3 major decision over Timothy Popwell of Hewitt-Trussville in the 132-pound match. Angus McBee of Oak Mountain earned a 10-0 major decision over Benjamin Harrison of Hewitt-Trussville in the 138-pound match.

Evan Webb of Oak Mountain earned a 6-0 decision over Donovan Sulser of Hewitt-Trussville in the 182-pound match.

Justin Woodall of Oak Mountain won his 195-pound match by forfeit. Lloyd Time won his 220-pound match by forfeit.
