Funeral services for Marjorie B. Nolen, age 81, of Wilsonville were held Tuesday, May 26, 2009, at Columbiana United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dr. Don Wright officiating.
Burial followed at Wilsonville City Cemetery. Visitation was held from 12:30–2 p.m. at Columbiana United Methodist Church on Tuesday.
Mrs. Nolen, who passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2009, was born on December 26, 1927 in Shelby County. She was preceded in death by her parents, D. H. Bentley, Sr. and Boyd Vick Bentley; and a sister, Myra B. White.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Billy J. Nolen of Wilsonville; daughters Nancy (Tommy) Thomas of Nashville, Tenn., and Jenny Cooper of Wilsonville; her son David (Denise) Nolen of North Shelby County; her granddaughters, Amy Cooper and Emily Cooper; her grandsons, Andy Nolen and Daniel Nolen; her sister, Betty Sherman of Brandon, Fla.; her brothers, Rev. Dr. David H. (Jo Marion) Bentley Jr. of Opelika, Dr. Robert (Dianne) Bentley of Tuscaloosa; an uncle, Auburn (Mary Jo) Vick of Birmingham; and many nieces and nephews.
