The Hope Christian School girls’ basketball team edged East Central 30-26 in high school basketball action Jan. 6.

Karlee Tate led the Eagles (7-4) with eight points in the victory. Tate also grabbed two rebounds and finished with three steals.

Joelle Reed and Brooke Machen added seven points each. Reed grabbed a team-high 12 rebounds, while Machen finished with five boards and dished out three assists.

Rachel Rettig chipped in four points and eight rebounds. Christina Jones, who had a team-high five steals, and Erin Douglas finished with two points each. Douglas also grabbed seven rebounds.
