Elizabeth Samsal Kendrick, age 88, of Montevallo, passed away Friday, Jan. 29, 2010, in Alabaster.
She was a member for 15 years at the First United Methodist Church of Montevallo, attended Auburn University and retired from Motion Industries.
She was preceded in death by her husband, G.W. Kendrick; parents, John and Jeanett Samsal; brother, John Samsal, Jr; and sister, Helen Burgin.
She is survived by her sister, Marie Fancher; sister-in-law, Mary Jean Forman; cousin, Marvin Samsal and 6 nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held Monday, Feb. 1, 2010, from 9-10:30 a.m. at Rockco Funeral Home in Montevallo. Funeral service was held Feb. 1, 2010, at 11 a.m. at First United Methodist Church of Montevallo. A private interment followed at Elmwood Cemetery. The Rev. Buddy Freeman and the Rev. Bill Brown officiated.
